SCHEA Leaders E-chain
Mood:  surprised
Topic: SCHEA Email
A SCHEA member emailed me the following email from SCHEA, which stated the following. "The amended, compromised PPIC bill was defeated in the House by a 60-53 vote without any discussion. For those who support alternatives to public education and school choice, it was a sad day."

I am often amused by the word play used by those who are not happy with God protecting "ALL" children, not just the so called select few.

I wish to help educate a few people.

A: "For those who support alternatives to public education and school choice, it was a sad day."
Why is it a sad day? A sad day for who? A sad day for SGO's, whom would have "PROFITED" from our tax dollars, via the "PUBLIC SCHOOL VOUCHER" dollars, which are real dollars and not "TAX CREDITS"?

B: "For those who support alternatives to public education and school choice"
South Carolina already has school choice! SCAIHS is not the only home school option in this state! If a family chooses to home school through SCAIHS and pay their high fee's, it is a status choice they have made, not a legal mandate! They can home school through the school district for free, there are free home school associations, five dollar a year home school associations, and the price goes on up.

There is no lack of school choice in South Carolina.

There is plenty of greedy SGO's and "out side business opportunists, whom are sticking their hands into a pot, which will eventually demise our home school freedoms with Federal and additional State regulations, that will strip us of our CURRENT, VERY REAL, EDUCATIONAL FREEDOMS! You know it, I know it, and everyone else knows it too!

For those that are claiming to be Christian, maybe you should open your Bible and read what GOD has to say about money in his name. Let me help you out here:
1 Timothy 6:10 (King James Version)For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
and
Matthew 22:20
And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
Matthew 22:21
21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
and
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
and
1 Timothy 6:9-10
"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
DESTRUCTION is olethros in Greek; meaning ruin, punishment, or death.
PERDITION is apoleia in Greek; meaning ruin, loss, damnation or destruction.
COVETED is oregomai in Greek; meaning stretch oneself, reach after, desire, or long for.
ERRED is apoplanao (see DECEIVE for root) in Greek; meaning to lead astray, or seduce
Jude 1:11
"Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core."

Avoid and disassociate from those who claim Christianity is a means to great wealth, or that their wealth proves God's blessing upon them. Remember Jesus and His disciples lived very simply. When people are motivated by greed, they might use the Bible, but their message will be devoid of truth.

Hallelujah
Put Parents In Charge Act aka PPIC

Romans 8: 27—28
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Although the paid employees of the grassroots organization SCRG aka South Carolinians for Responsible Government are `sad' that their one effort for responsible government has failed a SECOND time, my personal opinion is that Christians everywhere should all rejoice fully sing from the rooftops Hallelujah – Hallelujah – Hallelujah our Lord reigns and makes sure that all things work together for the good of them that love GOD.

A more valiant effort for Christians might be to try and restore prayer into the public schools, and public places.

Matthew 18: 19-20
19 Again I say unto, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 17: 20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

I rejoice in my Lords triumph, not in anyone's sorrows…and I am rejoicing today!
Hallelujah – Hallelujah – Hallelujah to my Lord.
Hallelujah – Hallelujah – Hallelujah to the rights of
homeschoolers.
Hallelujah – Hallelujah – Hallelujah to the disadvantage and the disabled in the public schools that will not be further taken advantage of by this bill!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 11, 2005
SENATOR MOORE CONTENT TO ABANDON SC FAMILIES - STICK WITH FAILING SCHOOLS
Columbia, SC - In response to Senator Moore's press conference today calling on Governor Sanford to drop school choice as one of his priorities, SCRG President Randy Page released the following statement:
"It's unfortunate that the presumptive Democrat nominee for Governor has chosen to kick-off his campaign by abandoning South Carolina families and publicizing his disdain for giving parents and children an opportunity at a better future.
Rather than help improve the plight of families whose children are stuck in failing schools, Senator Moore has teamed up with the National Education Association (NEA) and their radical agenda, which also includes legalization of homosexual marriage and confiscatory taxation.
I am confident that Governor Sanford will continue to fight for school choice because it's the fair and responsible thing to do."

NBHSA SC's replys with: "It's very fortunate that SCRG, and the SGO's, whom would have gained "real tax dollars", which are not tax credits, have been defeated for the 2nd year in a row! If SCRG would read SC ST SEC 59-65-40; and SC ST SEC 59-65-45; and SC ST SEC 59-65-47, they would know that South Carolina already has plenty of educational choices for our children! What we do not have is: A money bag SGO pot for the fat cats to put in their pockets, which would actually harm all children in the State of South Carolina! Ask SCRG why they "NEVER" once brought a copy of the actual Bill text to any of their meetings or rallies! They are just mad we actually read these Bills, which busted them in their attempt to steal from the tax payers of this STATE! After all, a "TAX CREDIT" is not the same as "TAX VOUCHER MONEY! Maybe they should have read our SC STATE CONSTITUTION.
Is this Bill even legal? https://nbhsa.tripod.com/03.htm
South Carolina State Constitution - ARTICLE XI. - PUBLIC EDUCATION
SECTION 4. Direct aid to religious or other private educational institutions prohibited. http://www.scstatehouse.net/scconstitution/a11.htm
No money shall be paid from public funds nor shall the credit of the State or any of its political subdivisions be used for the direct benefit of any religious or other private educational institution.
A) Direct aid to religious or other private educational institutions prohibited. All voucher money will come "directly from the "Public School" allotted funds, correct?
B) No money shall be paid from public funds All voucher money is a form of "public funds", correct?
C) nor shall the credit of the State or any of its political subdivisions be used for the direct benefit of any religious or other private educational institution. Oversight - The State Department of Revenue may issue regulations to aid in the performance of its duties under the act. This violates the second part of this as well, correct?
South Carolina State Constitution - ARTICLE III. LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT
SECTION 17. One subject. http://www.scstatehouse.net/scconstitution/a03.htm
Every Act or resolution having the force of law shall relate to but one subject, and that shall be expressed in the title. I find more the one argument to the "one subject" in this Bill; and the "expressed in the title" of this Bill.
1) Every Act or resolution having the force of law shall relate to but one subject
Nothing in this Bill title relates to "any Parent being in Charge of Anything" Everything in this Bill puts political subdivisions and "non-Parental entities in charge"! http://www.scstatehouse.net/scconstitution/a03.htm
